Launch Project

Objective:
The goal of this project was to build an informative website so potential distributors and customers can learn more about Mag-A-Grip Gloves.

An animated header with an interactive menu was built so users could jump directly to the information they were interested in learning more about.  There is also a simple animation built to show how metallic items actually stick to the glove.

I also helped the client come up with copy to help visitors learn more about the benefits the goves provide.

Objective:
Build an online presence using social networking and stratigically written articles to attract and maintain clients in the food service industry while developing a new online retail market.

Solution:
In order to maximize SEO the site was built on the Word Press blog platform.  Structuring the main portions of the site as static pages allowed for use to utilize posts to be used for the blog.

Social Networking:
Foods In Season wanted to build up a following using social networks.  Bitz of Art was contracted to create and maintain their online presence using social networking.

The Blog:
The blog was not only structured to act as an informational resource for current customers, Food In Season also contracts me on an ongoing basis to write articles which are stratigically written in order to attrack new customers.

Online Retail Store:
In order to appeal to the vast market of amature cooks, Foods In Season contracted Bitz of Art to construct and online store which was built using the open source shopping cart osCommerce as the foundation.  Having modified it with a GeoLocation feature which prevented users in restricted teritories from purchasing products along with modificaitons in order to allow for a custom check out process to accomodate perishable items.

Update:
Currently Foods In Season has postponed further development of their retail market until they have secured their position in other vital areas of their industry.  You may visit the current retail store by clicking here which will remain open but not heavily marketed.

Objective:
To build a portfolio which provides an administrative interface for easy updates.

Solution:
Utilized Word Press and customized the Atahualpa theme to match the site design provided by Corey.

Challenges:
An extremely important factor in this project was to set up the extensive amount of thumbnails in order for them to be easily organized in a drag-and-drop fashion using the somewhat glitchy WYSIWYG editor in Word Press while allowing for image titles to be displayed for images in the Fine Art category.

Since “captioned images” can not be easily moved a shadowbox plug-in was utilized to allow for full screen image expansion while giving the ability to display titles.

Objective:
Build a fun interactive site which demonstrates the benefits of Inca Snowboards.

Interactivity:
Various interactive elements throughout the site were built to demonstrate the technology behind Inca Snowboards.

Note:
Due to production constraints they are no longer persuing additional marketing efforts.
